Bar Soap vs. Body Soap: Which One Should You Use?

Everyone is loyal to a shower routine. Some guys choose to scrub up with loofah and liquid body wash and others like to lather up with a bar of soap. Although in theory they do the same job, it’s worth looking into the differences between body wash and bar soap. If you’re having trouble deciding which one is the right pick for you, check out our complete breakdown below.

So What’s The Difference?

The basics of what all soaps do is the same, they cleanse the surface of your skin to remove dirt and debris. What differentiates them is how the product formulas work to get skin fresh and clean.

Bar Soap

For those who prefer bar soap, there are many positive things it has to offer. One being that it is the most economically wise choice for your wallet. Typically, a bar soap is available at a more affordable price point than a whole bottle of body wash. In addition to this, bar soaps such as Zeus Bar Soap are much more eco-friendly than using a shower gel or body wash. More often than not, they come in minimal packaging that is easy to recycle. Lastly, bar soaps tend to contain fewer preservatives than body soaps, which mean they are often paraben free and hypoallergenic. This is something to consider, if you have sensitive skin.

Body Wash

Body wash is different from bar soap in that many of them are created to target a unique skin conditions. For example, Zeus Body Wash are formulated with Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and Aloe Vera to fortify the skin barrier, prevent irritation and seal in moisture. In general Body washes can be more suitable for those with drier skin as they can contain more ceramides and moisturizing agents that help hydrate the skin. Some also prefer the convenience of pumping or squeezing body wash rather than grabbing a bar of soap.

In Conclusion:

Whatever cleansing option you choose is completely up to you. If you have drier skin, you may enjoy using a body wash. If you are looking for a more affordable yet eco-friendly option, a bar soap may be the way to go. Check out Zeus Body Wash or Zeus Bar Soap if you’re looking for new ways to stay fresh. Cheers to being squeaky clean boys!
